Earlier today at the launch of the Abuja MoU, the Managing Director/CEO, Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho, commended the Chairman of Abuja MoU, His Excellency Hon. Ebrima Sillah, Minister of Transport, Works and Infrastructure of the Republic of The Gambia; the Vice-Chairman, His Excellency Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola CON, Minister of Marine and Blue Economy; and the Secretariat led by Captain Sunday Umoren, for their leadership of the Memorandum of Understanding on Port State Control for the West and Central African Region (Abuja MoU).
While acknowledging the contributions of the Lloyd’s Register Foundation, Dr. Dantsoho describes the program as a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional capacity, enhance maritime governance, and support the effective implementation of Port State Control throughout the Abuja MoU Region.
