

The Medical Director of the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Jalingo, Prof. Chubado Tahir, has received a brand-new ambulance donated by the Taraba State Government, in a significant boost to emergency response, patient transportation, and efficient healthcare service delivery.
The donation followed the visit of His Excellency, Governor Agbu Kefas, to the Hospital on 8th August 2026, accompanied by the APC National Chairman, Prof. Yelwatda Nentewa Goshwe, and the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate.
The ambulance was formally handed over to the Hospital Management by the Secretary to the Taraba State Government, Chief G. T. Kataps Ngwii, on behalf of Governor Agbu Kefas
Receiving the vehicle, the Medical Director, Prof. Chubado Tahir, expressed profound appreciation to Governor Agbu Kefas for the timely intervention and his continued commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery in Taraba State.
Prof. Tahir described Governor Kefas as a healthcare-friendly Governor, noting that the ambulance will significantly enhance the Hospital’s emergency response capacity, patient transportation, operational efficiency, and overall service delivery.
As a National Orthopaedic Hospital serving Taraba State, the North-East region, and patients from across Nigeria, this intervention will further strengthen the Hospital’s capacity to provide timely and quality orthopaedic healthcare services to a wider population.
