Ibe Okwara Osonwa (Oke Abba Ohafia) ,MHR Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency , had the pleasure of attending the 2026 Ikeji Aro Festival in Arochukwu, a truly spectacular celebration of the rich culture, traditions, and enduring heritage of the Aro people. The atmosphere was vibrant and festive, filled with colourful displays, cultural performances, and a deep sense of pride that brought the history and identity of Arochukwu vividly to life.

One of the highlights of the day was the State of the Affairs address delivered by the Eze Arochukwu. In a passionate and inspiring speech, he spoke about the ongoing efforts to revive and strengthen Aro culture while preserving the history, values, and traditions that have defined the community for generations. His message resonated strongly with all who were present and served as a powerful reminder of the importance of cultural heritage.

As the celebrations unfolded, it was impossible not to be moved by the unity, pride, and sense of purpose on display. The 2027 Ikeji Aro Festival was not only a celebration of the past but also a hopeful affirmation of the future of the Aro people and their cherished traditions.

I feel privileged to have witnessed such a remarkable occasion and to have shared the experience with Chief David Ogba Onuoha Bourdex, Hon. Uchenna Okoro Kalu , and Dr. Chibuzor Okereke. It was a day of culture, community, and celebration that I will remember for a long time to come.
