
The Honourable Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Engr. Prof. Joseph Terlumun Utsev has called for unity of purpose and commitment among citizens to make Nigeria a more prosperous nation.
Speaking to newsmen at the Presidential Villa Abuja shortly after attending the 27th Democracy Day Lecture, Prof. Utsev emphasised the compelling need for unity among citizens irrespective of ethnic, religious or political affiliations to achieve the desired development and make Nigeria a prosperous nation.
According to the Minister, the twenty seven years of unbroken democracy which coincides with the three years of remarkable strides of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration is a true reflection and resolve of the generality of Nigerians to uphold the tenates of democratic values and deepen institutions.
He expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the purposeful and selfless leadership he has continued to provide for the country that has brought succour and hope for the future generations, assuring that the water and sanitation sector under his leadership will continue to witness tremendous transformations.
He commended the Nigerian legislature, Judiciary, the military and other security formations as well as the media for nurturing and strengthening the nation’s democracy .
Prof. Utsev appealed to Nigerians to continue to pray and support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his cabinet to enable them deliver on the Renewed Hope Agenda for the betterment of the country.
