The President of the ECOWAS Commission H.E Omar Alieu Touray received in audience a high-level delegation from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, led by H.E Le Anh Tuan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, 30th June 2026at the ECOWAS Commission Headquarters in Abuja – Nigeria.
The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of the ECOWAS Commission and the Government of Vietnam to building a stronger partnership based on mutual respect, shared prosperity, and common interests. Both sides expressed optimism that the engagement would pave the way for enhanced cooperation and concrete initiatives that will benefit the peoples of West Africa and Vietnam, through enhanced food security, trade and investment, bilateral agreements, and collaboration in key areas of mutual interest.
