
The Executive Secretary NCDMB, Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe participated at the Starzs Investments Company Ltd’s 40th anniversary symposium and gala held on Friday, 10th July 2026, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The events celebrated the company’s journey, growth and contributions to the nation’s economy, becoming a leading maritime services provider in the oil and gas industry.
Engr. Ogbe was represented at the events by the Director Planning, Research and Statistics, Mr. Omomehin Ajimijaye, who congratulated the company for its local content strides, and transitioning its leadership to a new generation.
He highlighted the Board’s support to the company, including advancing credit through the Nigerian Content Intervention Fund, which the firm deployed in acquiring a new vessel and subsequently repaid successfully.
Several speakers lauded the founder, Engr. Greg Ogbeifun, for his foresight and tenacity, even before the enactment of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development (NOGICD) Act.
In turn, Engr. Ogbeifun lauded the young management led by Ms. Iroghama Ogbeifun for growing the net worth of the firm from N11bn to N30bn in a few years of being at the helm.
The gala night was attended by several dignitaries, including the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, as well as stakeholders of the oil and gas industry, including pioneer Executive Secretary of NCDMB, Engr. Ernest Nwapa, immediate past Executive Secretary of NCDMB, Engr. Simbi Wabote, Managing Director of Nigeria NLNG Ltd, Engr. Adeleye Falade and Managing Director of Aradel Holdings, Engr. Adegbite Falade, among others.
Other senior NCDMB personnel at the event included the Director Monitoring and Evaluation, Mr. Esueme Kikile, Esq and General Manager Corporate Communications, Dr. Obinna Ezeobi.
