On the, 4th August 2026, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Port Harcourt, Prof. Chike Princewill, received the State Controller of the Federal Fire Service, Rivers State Command, Mr. Obasi Ikenna, and his delegation on a courtesy visit at the Vice-Chancellor’s Committee Room, University Park.
The visit focused on enhancing collaboration in fire safety, emergency preparedness, staff training and institutional capacity building.
Prof Princewill welcomed the partnership and reaffirmed the University’s commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment for teaching, learning, and research and community service.
